I am an experienced Kentucky trial lawyer who fights for justice on behalf of my clients. I have been an attorney for 10 years, over 8 of those years were in public service at the Legal Aid Society (LAS). At LAS I represented low-income people in and around the Louisville, KY area. My practice area was in civil litigation and I helped hundreds of people in and out of the courts. I represented tenants whose landlords were trying to unlawfully evict them; I fought against banks trying to foreclose against homeowners in our community; I helped victims of domestic violence in divorces; and I assisted the disabled in maintaining their benefits.
Representing low-income people against big banks, slumlords, and other parties with more resources was an important educational experience. I am bringing that experience with me to Abney & McCarty to help working people who do not have the same resources, money, and power as their employers. I look forward to working for you.
